Volunteers

Volunteers are needed.  YOU ARE NEEDED!

There are several ways you can volunteer to help the cause:

Country Communication Coordinators - right from your computer you can coordinate communications with the YMCA in a participating country, assist in posting loans, translation and editing, initiate Skype calls to get follow up stories, write them up and post them.  If this interests you email Jerry: jglashagel@ymicro.org

Internships - if you can get free from your work or study or retirement to travel to another country for two or three months, you have the language skills, are a good listener, have coaching or guiding experience we need a few good people to help YMCAs in countries that want to join Ymicro.  If this interests you email Tom: thorsley@ymicro.org

Research Field Work - We have a team at the University of Illinois that is responsible for our impact evaluation.  If you are an undergrad or grad student in economics, communications, community development, international studies, business, social work or other relevant field and you would like to spend the summer collecting data for our research team, email Jerry: jglashagel@ymicro.org

Retired YMCA Executives - if you haven't lost your touch with major gifts fund raising we've got a list of corporations and foundations that just might like to hear our story. We need your strategic thinking, creative communications and dogged determination to take on a single target or a group of targets.  If you've got a special place in your heart for the Global Y Family, we've got the opportunity for you!  email Tom: thorsley@ymicro.org
