| Location: | Gardnersville Township, Liberia |

Massa may be deaf but she has a good business sense. She sells fried fish, plantains and a local type of bread in the evenings near the local entertainment center. At present, on a good day she invests LSD 1,200 in fish, plantains and flour and takes in LSD 2,000 producing a provit of LSD 800. With a loan of LSD 14,000, careful buying of supplies (paying lower prices for larger quantities, but not over buying), expansion of her menu and of the space for her customers, her plan forecasts steady growth in volume and slight increase in margin.
Massa is 26 years old and lives in Garnersville Township with her two children and fiance. He supports the family along with Massa's small business income. Massa's loss of hearing came from childhood fever. She dropped out of school in 5th grade. Her goal is to provide for a better education for her children.
